North West Wales Health & Safety Group

Welcome

WE GOT SILVER!

Welcome to the North West Wales Health and Safety Group (NWWHSG), a self-help, non-profit organisation, consisting of members from a wide range of employers and organisations from all areas of North Wales whose mission is to:

‘Work in partnership to ensure workplaces are healthy and safe for all’.

The Group is a member of Safety Groups UK, a charity established in 1947 to promote safety and health Nationwide through a network of local Occupational Health and Safety Groups. Their overall mission is to ensure that these health and safety groups are key players in the UK health and safety system and in the delivery of UK health and safety strategy.

In addition, the Group is a member of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)

In recent years the NWWHSG has had great success in the Alan Butler Awards, created by Safety Groups UK in honour of Alan Butler who served on its’ Council from 1991 until his untimely death in 1995.  One of Alan’s ideas was to encourage high standards of work in individual Groups and to recognise this by publicising their achievements across the Groups movement. The hard work of the NWWHSG to achieve this ethos was recognized in:

2009

  • Winner - Category 2, Best Overall Programme

  • Highly Commended - Category 3, Best Seminar / Workshop

2010

  • Highly Commended - Category 2, Best Overall Programme

The Group is sustained through the membership fees but appreciates that our talks are designed to promote health and safety to a very wide and diverse range of organizations and individuals. As such we do invite everyone to attend any monthly meeting (without the need to book or to join) to see what we are about and in the hope that you will join and support us in the future.

So subscribed member or not, we welcome you all to the Next Talk that is scheduled for Wednesday 8th February . Please come along and join us and see what you think!

We look forward to meeting you.
